More about
Erinne & Paul
Both Erinne and Paul are multi-passionate people. Paul loves to cycle in the warmer months but thrives during hockey season as a goaltender in a men’s rec league. Erinne’s hobbies include beadwork and baking. She’s also a classically trained pianist and a published author. The two spend a lot of time together indulging in Oilers games, film, theatre, and music shows around the city, and they get out of town to the mountains whenever they can.
While they lead very full lives, they’ve also both known the pain and heartache that results when illness or injury interrupts the ability to live, work, and play, which is why they take their work seriously. Their goal is to ensure others regain and maintain their health and balance in order to participate in their lives fully.

Our Guiding Principles

カイゼン
As it is now known in the West,
カイゼン (Kaizen) — the Japanese “philosophy” of small steps toward improvement — is a modern concept stemming from industry- and business-oriented roots. The idea of not getting overwhelmed by the big picture and instead focusing on small improvements, bit by bit, has always resonated with Erinne and Paul. It’s a reminder to move forward no matter how daunting, and to focus on the small wins while working toward the goal.

Miyo–pimâtisiwin
Erinne learned of miyo-pimâtisiwin while exploring her roots that extend to the Mountain Metis of the Rockies. Cree/Michif for “living a good life,” it is about moving through our days thoughtfully and with joy. Being cognizant of and honouring our ancestors, our elders, our environments, ourselves, and each other. Taking actions to live well and doing what we can to enable others to live well, too.

Pole Pole
Pole Pole (po-lay po-lay) is Swahili for slowly, slowly. It is the mantra on Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, and refers to the pace climbers make their ascent. Moving deliberately slow is critical for acclimatizing to the high altitude, but also results in more time to take in the details that make up the beautiful landscape and experience. Erinne and Paul summited Kilimanjaro together in 2015. Ever since, it is their m.o. to move through both the joys and challenges of life pole pole so they can appreciate and absorb the beauty and lessons along the way.
